What is the Story Behind Your Art? 

My art finds its roots in the experiences that have shaped my life. It's a reflection of the world around me and the moments that have left a lasting impression. Each piece carries a narrative inspired by culture, personal connections, and the evolving journey of my life. For instance, the transition into motherhood has significantly influenced a few of my more recent collections, evident in the subdued colours and gentle shapes that echo the serenity of that phase.

What emotions or feelings do you intend to evoke through your artwork? 

In my studio, I find solace and purpose. My aim is to translate the positivity, contentment and empowerment that I feel with each brushstroke. Through vibrant colours and thoughtful compositions, I hope to elicit a sense of joy and tranquility in those who engage with my art. I endeavour for my art to create a serene and uplifting atmosphere in any space.

What Inspires You? 

My inspiration stems from a variety of sources - from my travels around the world to the natural beauty of my coastal home on the Sunshine Coast. Additionally, the experience of motherhood has added depth and introspection to my artistic expression. Every encounter and observation becomes a potential muse as I strive to capture the essence of these experiences on paper or canvas, transforming them into visual narratives.

Where is the ideal space for this piece in people's homes? 

My art is designed to be versatile, fitting seamlessly into various living spaces. Whether it's a focal point in a living room or a subtle accent in a bedroom, each piece is crafted to enhance the ambiance of its surroundings. With a range of sizes available, there's something suitable for every corner of the home, creating a cohesive and inviting atmosphere.

How do you select your colour palette? 

My colour choices are guided by intuition and mood. Bright and vibrant hues may be chosen to reflect a sense of energy and vitality, while softer neutrals evoke a feeling of calm and reflection. I enjoy the process of mixing and blending colours to capture the essence of a moment or emotion, translating it into a visual language that resonates with me.
